Wengie was born 'Wendy Ayche' on January 9, 1986, of Chinese-Australian originality. She presently lives in Australia with her fiancé Max since 2015 with other homes in California and China. Wengie is a multitalented personality with a benign brilliance in singing and voice-acting where she has voiced in a New Zealand version of 'The Power-puff Girls' as well as the movie 'Power of Four'. Wengie launched a YouTube channel in 2013 where she focused on beauty and lifestyle choices. Fast-forward three years later and she became one of the most popular YouTube sensations with over 4 million subscribers, earning more than a billion views. She received overwhelming recognition from YouTube in 2017, garnering two awards in the Australian Online Video Awards. Wengie's music career debuted on the China music charts in 2017 at number 11 with 'Baby Believe me'. In mid-2018, she released her first English track, 'Cake', which managed over 7.7 million views on YouTube. After quite a number of epic songs, she released the single 'Empire' in 2019, featuring Minnie from (G)I-DLE. It even managed to reconceive three huge remixes by DJs Soda, Ducky and JVNA. This popular track debuted at number 22 on the Billboard World charts. It gathered international recognition due to its anthem for unity and empowerment of women. The famous K-pop star was formerly an accountant and digital marketing director at an onset company with a cosy salary before she left to pursue the 'Wengie' personality and dream sensation now having her own media company and choreographer. Having experience in the world of business, she has ventured into entrepreneurship with a successful and expanding toy line, branded 'Whimsical by Wengie'. She is currently opening stores nationwide aimed at introducing slime scents, body art, hair kits, glitter lamps and DIY kits to a fresh audience.
